Introducing the live opera and ballet performances of the London Covent Garden, season 2023/24: the Aria Hotel Budapest and Café Liszt are presenting seven new shows during weekends in the Teatro Aria chamber cinema room. Enjoy live performances with HD picture, and 7.1 surround sound quality.
Prior to the screening, guests are invited to a breakfast at Café Liszt, accompanied by a glass of champagne, a hot drink or a juice. You can enjoy eggs benedict, egg dishes, salmon, pastries, a selection of cold cuts and cheeses, fresh fruit and vegetables from the generous buffet or from the a la carte menu in a cozy atmosphere.
Screenings start at 11 am. Buffet breakfast available from 7 to 11 am. Please make sure to book your table for breakfast – your undisturbed service can be guarateed with a confirmed booking. Online reservation is available on this link or on the page showing up following your ticket purchase.

Antonio Pappano is conducting the new production by Barrie Kosky: Das Rheingold by Wagner is a bold, fresh direction with and outstanding cast. See and hear Christopher Maltman as Wotan, Christopher Purves as Alberich.

Puccini’s devastating tragedy, Madama Butterfly about a young geisha who falls in love with an American naval officer. When the young geisha, Cio-Cio-San, marries American Naval Officer Pinkerton, she believes she is entering a real, binding marriage for life. Forsaking her religion and community, she learns all too late that for Pinkerton, their marriage is merely an illusion – with tragic consequences.
With a score that includes Butterfly’s aria, ‘Un bel dì, vedremo’ (‘One fine day’) and the Humming Chorus, Giacomo Puccini’s opera is entrancing and ultimately heart-breaking..Screening time appr 195 minutes (with one intermission). Italian language with English subtitles.
Tchaikovsky’s sensational score Swan Lake combines with the evocative imagination of choreographer Liam Scarlett and designer John Macfarlane to heighten the dramatic pathos of Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov’s quintessential ballet classic. Swan Lake remains to this day one of the best-loved works in the classical ballet canon. Starring the shining pricipals of the Royal Ballet, Yasmine Naghdi and Matthew Ball.

At a glittering party in 18th-century Paris, the poet Andrea Chénier delivers an impassioned denunciation of Louis XVI. Five years later, the Revolution has given way to the Terror, transforming the power balance between Chénier, his beloved Maddalena, and Gérard, the man who could destroy him… Jonas Kaufmann headlines David McVicar’s spectacular staging, under the baton of long-time collaborator Antonio Pappano – who conducts Giordano’s epic historical drama of revolution and forbidden love in his last production as Music Director of The Royal Opera. Andrea Chénier returns to the Royal Opera House Main Stage in June.
